MISSION STATEMENT

Each person is a unique treasure to be discovered.

The Sing and Strings Studio offers music training to any student from any cultural background wishing to study Voice, Violin, Viola, or Piano. Instruction is available in either private or group settings and encompasses music history, theory, and technique. The Sing and Strings Studio serves students  ranging in age from toddlers to senior citizens with any level of experience (Beginner to Advanced), and it is known for specializing in both Traditional and Suzuki teaching methods as well as styles from Broadway to Opera.

The Sing and Strings Studio recognizes and strongly supports the value of music in cultivating life skills, character qualities, and creative problem–solving techniques that are applicable to all phases of life. It strives to motivate and challenge artistic abilities in a nurturing environment where the healing power of music can change lives through a "whole person" approach emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially.

How We Teach

Young students, parents, and instructor work together as a team to create each private "designer" lesson that the children can enjoy at their own pace and in an environment that will build self–esteem free from comparison to other musicians’ abilities or outside criticism.

Adult students, whether coming to music lessons for the first time or are inspired to begin studying again after years of childhood lessons, are motivated to study music as a healing factor that touches all areas of their lives. Great emphasis is placed on the maxim that it is never too late to begin—or return to—studying music.

Special needs students learn through gentle guidance to discover that their emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and/or social challenges can be expressed through the healing power of music.  The instructor is especially sensitive to students in various stages of bereavement and believes that any circumstance can be turned into an opportunity.

Celebrity students and their children or other family members find The Sing and Strings Studio to be a safe haven where they can learn and grow as musicians with the support and understanding from an instructor who was raised within a celebrity background. Celebrity students are always respected for the talented individuals they are, and not for their fame.
